PROVEN STEPS TO MAKE YOUR VISION & DREAMS COME TRUE IN 2014

True success and fulfillment is all about knowing and understanding The Almighty God (your Creator, having a Relationship with Him, accomplishing and fulfilling His purpose for your life here on earth with the gifts and blessings He has endowed on you, and in so doing be a channel of blessings to others and at the end make Heaven.

Step 1: Discover your God-given Vision and Dreams, Write It Down, Break It Down, Develop a Plan, Place it were you will Read it Always and Run With it.
Step 2: Break Down Your Visions into Goals and then Prioritize.
A goal is the ongoing pursuit of a worthy objective until accomplished, The subject of goal setting and prioritizing would not be complete if I do not share with you the goal setting and prioritizing principles I learnt over time from my mentors. The principles, strategies and techniques I ve learnt on the above subject have transformed my life so much.
10 Guidelines for Setting the Right Goals.
1. Your most important life-time goal must be yours:
Your most important life-time goal must be yours, you should not let anyone, whether your parent or your boss determine that for you. You boss can influence your job goal but not your life-time goal. Even your parent reserves not the right to determine or decide for you the goals you shall pursue in life. There was a parent that want their son to read and practice law, whereas their son want to read and practice medicine and after reading law, the son never did well in law, because he is neither talented nor passionate about it, but after he went back to read and practice medicine, he was so passionate and enthusiastic about it, that the young man attained a great level of success, fulfillment and excellence in his profession and in his life. So don’t let anyone decide your life-time goal for you.
2. Your goals must be meaningful
Your goal must be meaningful and important to you. You must have a definite purpose for every goal you set. You must be prepared to give something up to make it happen. If it would require spending some nights sleepless to make it happen, please just do it and you would be glad you did at the end. Always ask yourself critical questions like; what shall be the rewards and benefits of this discipline I am embarking on? And focus on those benefits. There are two types of pains in life; the pains of discipline and the pains of regret – Jim Rohn. The choice is yours. You would not want to look back and lament saying had it been I invested my time, energy, money into one opportunity or the other. Or had it been I took care of my health. Instead you would rather be saying I am glad I invested my time or resources into that opportunity or gift. It is therefore wise to commit yourself now to setting goals that will guarantee your future success and freedom
3. Your goals must be specific and measurable.
Truly, vague generalizations are contrary to success. You have got to have well defined and specific goals. Stating that you want to make more money is a wish and not a goal, but specifying how much money you want and when you want it is a goal. That you want to spend more time with your family is not a goal rather that you want to spend minimum of 3 hours every day with your family every day is a goal. A goal without a number is nothing but a mere slogan.
4. Your goals must be flexible.
Your goals must not be rigid; rather it should be flexible, so that you can easily adjust it when necessary, for it not to get boring or suffocating. It is proven that a flexible goal allows you the freedom to change course if a genuine opportunity comes along that is so good. However, you don’t have to be involved with every new or juicy idea that comes your way, just focusing on one or two ideas can make you happy and fulfilled.
5. Your goals must be challenging and exciting.
It has be proven that when you set goals that are exciting and challenging you will get the drive and motivation that prevents you from being bored and frustrated when you encounter challenges.  Always focus on the benefits and the rewards you will get when you accomplish your great and challenging goals. Dream big dreams and set big goals that gets you excited and motivated.
6. Your goals must be in alignment with your values.
Your core values are the virtues you must uphold come rain come sun shine. They serve as your guideline, the foundation or the pillar upon which you set your blocks of goals. The manifestation of harmony is certain when an individual’s or organization’s goal are aligned with the person’s or the organization’s core values. You have got to set your boundaries, your do’s and your don’ts in line with your core values. Some of my core values for instance are; God’s Word and His Kingdom, Holiness, Worship, Service, Creativity, Possibility, Faith, and the Golden rule. Truly, when you harness your core values to positive and purposeful goals, decision-making becomes easy. It generates the energy that will propel you to much higher levels of success.
7.  Your goals must be well balanced.
Whenever you are setting goals make sure you balance it by giving attention and allocation of time for God’s Word and Kingdom service, your Family, your Career/Business, Fitness Programs, Leisure and Relaxation, etc. All work and no play, makes Jack a dull and unhealthy boy. You have got to balance everything in equal proportion, because excess of everything is dangerous.
8. Your goals must be realistic.
One of my mentor quotes, that there are no such things as unrealistic goals, only unrealistic time frame.  The only factor that makes your goal unrealistic is in determining the amount of time it would take to achieve your goal.  For instance, if you are earning $500 per month and you do not have or do another business except your job, it would be unrealistic to set a goal to become a millionaire in a month, unless you want to rob the bank or commit a crime. You can become a millionaire if you give the goal time, like a year.  An unrealistic goal breeds frustration. Even the Holy Bible state that, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick”.  It’s good to think big but you have got to give your big time goals, time big enough to accomplish them.
9. Your goal must be contributive.
There is a popular aphorism that says, don’t not think of what your country should do for you, rather you should think of what you should do for your country. In view of the foregoing, you should be thinking of what value to add, to contribute to your Family, Organization, State, Nation and to the world, and not what should be done for you. The moment you start adding value and contributing. You have positioned yourself for promotion and re-compensation. It has been proven that whatever you want, you should give it first and it would be given back unto you – Luke 6: 38; Give and it shall be given to you, good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete. With it shall be measured to you again.  Success is not measured by how much of material things you have amassed, but by how much you are giving, how many lives are you affecting positively? So when setting your goals, set goals on what you want to contribute to others and to the world you live in or to the community or the state you are living in. And in so doing you are fulfilling the purpose of success; to be a blessing to the world. God told Abraham, I would bless you and you shall be a blessing to others. You are blessed to be a blessing with whatever God has blessed you with.
10. Your Goal must be supported
The last but not the least is that great goals must be supported by your team. When you set big and extra-ordinary goals, you cannot implement it all alone. You will need to engage some people whom you trust, to assist you in the process of achieving your big goals. You cannot do it all alone. You need others to support, assist, cooperate, motivate and encourage you. No man is an island, says the English man. You are neither an Island of knowledge nor of resources. You need a team to work with and a mastermind group to mastermind and network with. Someone said; your network, determines your net worth. However, you need to be very careful in choosing your team or mastermind group, to avoid negative people that would not encourage you.
