6 Must-Read Motivational Success Lessons
Ella Wheeler Wilcox said, “Always continue the climb. It is possible for you to do whatever you choose, if you first get to know who you are and are willing to work with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it.”You can achieve your dreams, and you will, when you follow these six motivational success lessons.
6 Must-Read Motivational Success Lessons:
1. Get into Action
“Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”
~Thomas Jefferson
Your actions define who you are; your actions bring to light your potential, your passion, and your power. Your actions reveal your differences, and it is your difference from others that are the foundation of your success. How are you different from others? Do you know?
Get into action so that you discover your difference, and use your difference to create your legacy.
2. Run the Day
“Either you run the day or the day runs you.”
~Jim Rohn
It’s that simple, either you run your day or your day runs you. Either you say what’s going to happen or the events of the day will dictate to you what happens.
You must have a plan; you must have a track to run on. If you have no plan you will wander, accomplishing a fraction of what you could have otherwise accomplished.
Decide to run your days; after all, they are your days.
3. Progress is Progress
“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.”
~Victor Kiam
Les Brown said, “If you fall down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up.” It’s okay to fail, it’s okay to fall down, this is how you learn to succeed. What if a small child, after stumbling 20 times, said this “walking thing” isn’t for me?
Then he or she would never learn what is innate in them to do. They would never reach the potential that lies within them concerning mobility.
If you stumble, if you make a mistake, that’s okay. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward until you succeed.
4. Expect Problems
“Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.”
~Alfred A. Montapert
Expect problems and then overcome them, go around them, jump over them, run through them, eat them up and spit them out. Pain is nothing to a giant. A problem isn’t a problem. It’s just a test to qualify you for the next level.
So pass the test!
5. Think Bigger
“Go big or go home. Because it’s true. What do you have to lose?”
~Eliza Dushku
Save little accomplishments for little people! If you’re going to do something, do it big! No guts, no glory. You have to push yourself beyond the little box that you’ve been trapped in, and you have to break the chains of mediocrity which seem to keep you bound.
Anyone can do something small. If you’re going to be a success, “Go big!”
6. Balance
“Follow your dreams, work hard, practice and persevere. Make sure you eat a variety of foods, get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
~Sasha Cohen
My father use to say, “Balance is the key to life.” Balance, any one extreme becomes a disadvantage. Work hard, but play hard. Life a healthy life that’s sustainable and you’ll be around long enough to turn the impossible, into possible.
